In line with its mission to revive and celebrate Odisha’s cultural heritage, Sthapana Charitable Trust launched the Mitti Ka Guman initiative at Jaidev Bhavan, bringing together influential figures, including the Hon’ble Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Mrs. Usha Devi, and special guests Dr. Minati Behera (Chairperson, Women’s Commission), Ms. Mandakini Kar (Chairperson, Child Rights Commission), Dr. Dillip Rautharai (Special Secretary, Government of Odisha), along with Padma Bibhushan Sudarshan Sahu and Padma Shri Devi Prasanna Patnaik. The initiative, organized by Mantha Charitable Trust in partnership with Sthapana, represents a dedicated effort to revive and promote traditional art forms such as Kirtan, Bhagavat Tungi, and Odisha’s folk arts, especially in rural communities.

With a special focus on empowering mothers and recognizing the contributions of female artists, Mitti Ka Guman aims to uncover and elevate the unique arts of Odisha’s villages, cottage industries, and cultural retreats. These arts, many of which are in danger of disappearing, are now being reignited through the efforts of dedicated women whose talents are gaining rapid recognition. Through Mitti Ka Guman, Sthapana Charitable Trust highlights Odisha’s rich artistic traditions and supports the growth of these timeless expressions of culture.
