Ama Gaon Kala Utsav was held across three blocks of Deogarh district and the Kuchinda subdivision of Sambalpur district with the aim of reviving Odisha’s cherished yet endangered traditional arts, such as Kirtan, Bhagavat Tungi, and various folk performances. The program, celebrated with vibrant enthusiasm across 70 panchayats, saw the formation of thousands of Kirtan Mandalis and Bhagavat Tungis, bringing these traditions back to life.
These groups were invited to showcase their artistry at the Sthapana Charitable Trust office in Deogarh and Kuchinda, where they were warmly received. The event also included an awareness campaign, focusing on deepening the understanding of Shree Jagannath Chetana and the spiritual significance of the Krishna Corridor in the region. Through this initiative, Ama Gaon Kala Utsav not only celebrated rural Odisha’s cultural wealth but also inspired communities to preserve and cherish their heritage.
