To honor the rich heritage of Bamanda, celebrating its literary, cultural, and ecological treasures, STHAPANA Charitable Trust (SCT) organized the Nupura Nrutya Sangeeta Utsav, a three-day cultural festival. A special theme song, filmed at the scenic Pradhanpat Waterfall, beautifully highlighted the region’s biodiversity and tribal heritage.

The festival showcased the essence of village culture through captivating performances by Sankirtan Mandalis from 70 Gram Panchayats and Mahila Bhagabat Mandalis from the Municipality area of Deogarh District. Renowned cultural artists from Odisha and West Bengal further enriched the event with exceptional performances. Esteemed guests, including the Hon’ble MLA, the Collector-cum-District Magistrate, ADG of Police, SP, DCPO, and dignitaries from various sectors, graced the occasion with their presence, making the festival a truly memorable celebration of Bamanda’s cultural pride.

The Nupura Nrutya Sangeeta Utsav commenced with an inspiring inauguration by the Hon’ble MLA of Deogarh, alongside Team Sthapana. The second day witnessed a vibrant array of events, with dignitaries including the ADG of Police, SP of Deogarh, Ombudsman, and other esteemed guests, who added significance to the celebration. A grand cultural rally through Deogarh city, followed by an official inauguration ceremony, infused the atmosphere with excitement and pride.

As a part of the festival’s mission to deepen public awareness of Odisha’s rich heritage, an extensive campaign was held to promote traditional, cultural, and spiritual values, with a special focus on the consciousness of Shree Jagannath Chetana. This initiative encouraged a profound appreciation for Odisha’s unique legacy among attendees and the larger community, making the Nupura Nrutya Sangeeta Utsav a remarkable platform for cultural awakening and unity.
